Clearwater Gas (CGS Energy)
CGS Energy is the fourth largest municipal gas system in Florida and ranks 29th out of nearly 1,000 public gas systems in the United States. Service territory includes 17 municipalities and unincorporated areas within northern and central Pinellas County and western and central Pasco County. CGS operates over 1,100 miles of underground gas main; including supply and distribution of both natural and propane (LP) gas to serve over 31,700 customers in a 330 square mile service territory, which includes Pinellas County. CGS offers residential and commercial gas appliances, installation of customer gas piping, service and repair, construction and maintenance of underground gas mains/service lines, and a 24-hour emergency response guarantee and is regulated for safety by the Florida Public Service Commission and the Federal Department of Transportation.
