Tech Advisor Selects Pinellas County for Relocation and Expansion of U.S. Headquarters

Oncore Cloud Services finds the ideal hub for connecting finance and healthcare companies to cloud-based tools.

Oncore Cloud Services has relocated its U.S. headquarters from Atlanta, Georgia, to St. Petersburg, Florida. The company chose the city for its robust financial services sector, talented workforce, and high quality of life.

As both a technology advisor and provider of managed technology services, the Canadian firm completed the move in October 2025.  The relocation has already led to modest growth, with four new local hires, and Oncore plans to add ten additional positions over the next three years.

“My family and I fell in love with the area while vacationing in St. Petersburg many times,” explains Oncore CEO Adam Kupsta. “We knew it would be a beautiful place to live. But learning that it also boasts a robust financial industry and growing technology sector put it on the map for Oncore as home base for our US operations.”

Pinellas County Economic Development Economic Development Manager Dean Maratea first met with Kupsta in March 2025 to discuss Oncore’s needs and the benefits of locating in Pinellas County, Florida. Working in tandem with the St. Petersburg Economic Development Corporation, Maratea helped connect Kupsta with area organizations that could provide resources and assistance to the company, including CareerSource Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg College, and Duke Energy.

“Access to local talent and a talent pipeline to support future growth was important to Oncore’s decision-making,” says Maratea. “What we have in place here in Pinellas County – a highly-educated workforce, responsive educational partners, and resource allocation to address technology needs – was very attractive to Kupsta.”

“Absolutely,” agrees Kupsta. “In St. Petersburg, we found both an established business sector and a workforce ready for hire. The key to our selection was the ability to connect with local compliance-heavy companies in finance and healthcare who require support for high-performance workloads.  By offering cloud-adjacent platforms that integrate modern workplaces with data center infrastructure, we found a perfect client base here. Add in year-round sunshine and St. Pete easily beat-out other competing cities.”
