Community Redevelopment Area (CRA)Incentives
Alachua CRAThe program provides a 50% matching grant between $500 and $12,500 for façade improvement project costs.  Signage shall only be a reimbursable expense of 50% matching up to $3,000 and only if the CRA, in its sole discretion approves the sign design. Grant recipients must provide a cash or loan match of 50% of total project cost. Funding is appropriated annually by the CRA and is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Applicants must finish the project and pay all project costs before being eligible for reimbursement.
Apopka CRABuilding Code Assistance Program (BCAP) – financial reimbursement grant to pay for eligible costs incurred by a qualified owner or tenant to make façade or exterior improvements. Provides reimbursements of up to $5,000 per business storefront or building for Florida Building Code updates or repairs, Building inspection required and 25% match.
Facade Renovation Assistance Program (FRAP) – reimbursement to help pay eligible costs incurred by a qualified owner or tenant in making improvements that are required due to building code requirements. Provides reimbursements of up to $5,000 per business storefront or building, 25% match.
Building Permit Refund Assistance Program (BPRAP) –
Permit Fee reimbursement for up to 50% with a maximum $5,000 refund upon Certificate of Occupancy for targeted businesses in the CRA.
Business Impact Fee Assistance Program (BIFAP) – Pays reimbursement of Impact Fees for new, expanding or change of use for businesses up to 50% and a maximum of $5,000. Includes, water, sewer, Police, and Fire fees.
Auburndale CRARedevelopment Grant – Community Redevelopment Agency will reimburse 50%, up to $50,000, for fixed capital improvements to the exterior or interior of buildings. 
Impact Fee

Assistance Grant – provide relief to property owners, developers, and business owners who are required to pay impact fees for eligible projects. 
Avon Park CRASmall Business Sign Assistance Program – to incentivize certain small business owners to improve business signage by replacing existing older and outdated signage, reimbursement of up to 50 percent of the cost of the new signage, and a maximum allocation of up to $5,000 per applicant and property.
Babcock Street CRAEligible commercial properties in the Babcock Street CRA may qualify for a matching façade improvement grant of up to $40,000. 
Bartow CRADemolition Grant – funds the intent to reduce or eliminate the costs associated with the removal of substandard, uninhabitable, or unsafe structures when the cost to rehabilitate is not financially feasible. 
Business Matching Facade Grants – the improvements of storefronts within in Airport, Main Street, and Southside Districts. 
Boynton Beach CRACommercial Façade and Site Improvement Program – match up to 50% of the value of the Applicant’s approved project up to the award limit, grants may be awarded up to a $50,000 limit. Infill & Adaptive Reuse Program – for specific leasehold improvements that include the upgrading or installation of new electrical, HVAC, plumbing, sprinkler/fire suppression systems, security systems, and ADA compliance items. CRA will match up to 50% of the value of the Applicant’s approved project, grants may be awarded up to a $50,000 limit.
Bradenton Beach CRAThe CRA Grant Program is an incentive program in which the CRA reimburses a private for-profit organization up to 100% of the costs of eligible site improvements for an eligible residential or commercial project, up to an amount not to exceed $4,000.00
Brooksville CRAProperty Improvement Matching Grant Program – eligible to receive a one-to-one dollar match with a maximum grant of $20,000.00 awarded to any property.
Callaway CRAFaçade Improvement Program – qualified commercial and residential property owners within the CRA area towards exterior improvements to building facades. These are matching grants up to $5,000. 
Demolition Grant Program – matching grants, which means the City will reimburse an applicant for half of what was spent, up to $10,000 or $20,000 if purchased post-Hurricane Michael. 
Cape Canaveral CRACommercial Property Improvement Grant – designed to provide financial assistance to new and existing businesses in the form of a 50% matching, reimbursable grant intended to reduce the initial costs associated with the design, repair, and rehabilitation of buildings or other improvements. Commercial Rent Reimbursement Grant – provide financial assistance to new and existing businesses in the form of rent reimbursement intended to help businesses during the critical first year of operation in order to effectively promote new businesses within the BBCRA.
Chipley CRAMini-Grant Program – program provides a 50% match to pay for improvements identified by category as follows:
Distressed Property Grant – 50% up to $10,000.  These funds shall be used to perform general repair, demolition, and structural or habitable work to meet code to occupy the structure. 
Commercial Site Improvement Grant – 50% up to $2,500.  These funds are to be used for landscaping that meets the requirements of the City’s Land Development Code.
Commercial Sign Improvement Grant – 50% up to $2,500.  These funds are to be used for the restoration of existing signs or the construction of new signs. 
Commercial Façade Grant – 50% up to $2,500.  Funds are to be used to bring the structure into harmony with adjacent buildings. 
Mural Grant– Murals are approved by the CRA Board only (50% up to $1,000).
Clermont CRABuilding Exterior Improvement Grant, Building Interior Improvement Grant, Exterior Infrastructure Assistance Program, Permit Impact Fee Grant, Structure Demolition Assistance Program, and Revolving Loan Program
Coco CRABuilding Code Assistant Grant – provides a $10,000 financial grant or reimbursement to help pay eligible costs incurred by a qualified owner or tenant in making improvements that are required due to building code requirements.  Code requirements may be from building, fire, or City codes that could have prevented a new business from starting.  
Façade Improvement Grant – provides a $10,000 financial grant or reimbursement grant to pay eligible costs incurred by a qualified owner or tenant in making exterior improvements.  
Food-Related Services Grant – offers up to $15,000 financial grant or reimbursement to assist in establishing or upgrading food-related businesses in the City of Clermont Community Redevelopment Area. Matching funds are a grant that can be used to offset the cost of eligible improvements necessary to establish and operate a food service or restaurant business.  
Coral Springs CRACommercial Façade Improvement Program – provide assistance to owners of commercial property located in the CRA districts. Matching grants of up to $10,000 (The amount varies with each Community Redevelopment Agency) are available to qualified owners to fund exterior improvements.
Crescent City CRACommercial Enhancement Grant – encourage existing building owners or tenants of the community redevelopment area to improve the aesthetics of commercial buildings and to enhance safety in the rear of the buildings. The program will pay for 50% of the documented hard costs for the improvements and the applicant is responsible for 50% of the hard costs, plus 100% of associated costs such as engineering and permits. Commercial buildings may receive up to $25,000.
Crystal River CRARedevelopment Grant – Since not all redevelopment obstacles are the same, this program allows the CRA the flexibility to choose from a variety of options to facilitate projects that would not happen without CRA assistance at some level. Grants up to and including $5,000 require no match, Grants over $5,000 require 50% match and the maximum grant award is $10,000.
Dade City CRABuilding Exterior Grant – restore, improve, or create historical architectural features for the existing exteriors of commercial buildings within the CRA district.  Building Exterior grants awarded are based on a 50/50 (Property Owner/Tenant & CRA) match and may be from $7,500 up to $15,000. 
Signage Grant – Signage grants awarded are based on a 50/50 (Property Owner/Tenant & CRA) match of available funds, not to exceed $1,250 within any three (3) year period. 
Paving/Repaving Grant – any applicant(s) receiving a Parking Lot Paving and Re-Paving Grant shall not be eligible to apply for any other grants available from the CRA Board. All grants awarded are based on a 50/50 (Property Owner/Tenant & CRA) match of available funds not to exceed $5,000 within any three (3) year period. 
Dania Beach CRACommercial Property Improvement Grant Program – may provide grants up to $20,000 based on the Funding Guidelines. Grant recipients are required to provide a minimum 30% match for the project.
Deerfield Beach CRALighting Grant – Matching Grants are available to downtown property owners and merchants for providing safe, pedestrian-friendly exterior store front lighting and also for providing rear building lighting. Eligible projects may receive awards of up to 75% of the total project cost with no single grant exceeding $2,000.  
Retail Grant – Matching Grants are available that are designed to assist downtown property owners that create or retain existing retail business or convert office/service occupancy to retail. Eligible projects may receive awards of up to 50% of the total project cost with no single grant exceeding $5,000.  
Upper Floor Grants – Matching Grants are available to downtown property owners that refurbish upper floors for use as retail, office, service or residential or any combination of these categories. Creation of storage or warehouse space is not eligible. Projects may receive awards of up to 50% of the total project cost with no single grant exceeding $10,000.  
Facade Grant – Matching Grants are available to downtown property owners that rehabilitate exterior facades, particularly storefronts. Eligible projects may receive awards of up to 75% of the total project cost with no single grant exceeding $5,000.  
Underutilized Building Grant – Grants are available to downtown property owners that rehabilitate buildings that have been vacant for two or more years. Eligible projects may receive awards of up to 25% of the total project cost with no single grant exceeding $60,000.   
Defuniak Springs CRACommercial Façade Program – available to any commercially zoned property in the CRA.  The program reimburses 50% of funds spent on upgrades to a property including paint, windows and doors, signage, roofs, landscaping, and lighting. The maximum funding available is $100,000.
Deland CRACRA Growth and Development Assistance Program – incentive grants up to $15,000 with a 50% match.
Delray Beach CRAProject Consultancy & Design Services – the program provides applicants with project consultancy and professional design services determined by a project’s respective stage of development.  
Site Development Assistance – partial reimbursement for a variety of interior and exterior improvements. 
Paint-Up & Signage Program is designed to help business and property owners throughout the CRA District improve the exterior of existing commercial buildings through a fresh coat of paint and signage.
Diamond Square CRA (Coco)Commercial Façade Improvement Program – benefit property owners with matching grants of up to $10,000 are available to qualified owners to fund exterior improvements
Downtown Kissimmee CRACommercial Property Improvement Program (CPIP) grant is to encourage the rehabilitation and preservation of commercial buildings by offering financial assistance of up to $25,000 in reimbursable funds as a 50/50 match.  
Pioneer Project Incentive Program– would incentivize the development of residential, commercial, and mixed-use projects in the CRAs that would otherwise not happen due to conditions outside of the developer’s, the City’s or the CRAs’ ability to control or influence, such as, but not limited to exorbitant development impact fees by outside agencies or market conditions.  Assistance may be made in full within the first year or disbursed over a period of several years. Awards can be $150,000 to $1.5 million depending upon the size of structures.
Dunedin CRACommercial Façade, Landscape, and Infrastructure Grant –  provides matching grants of up to $10,000 for eligible facade, landscape, and infrastructure improvements to commercial property located within Escambia County’s designated redevelopment districts.
Sign Grant – provides matching grant funds up to $2,000 to eligible business and/or property owners for signage improvements to commercial property located within Escambia County’s designated redevelopment districts
Dunnellon CRACommercial Building Grant Program – offer grant assistance for design review, façade improvements, demolition, or undergrounding of utilities. applicants may receive a reimbursement grant equivalent to 50% of the cost of preparing conceptual site plans and renderings up to a maximum of $3,000 with a minimum of $500.  
Escambia County CRACRA/Historic Preservation Grant Facade Renovations – the purpose of the facade improvement is to encourage and assist property owners within the Dunnellon Historic District to improve the aesthetics and appearance of their properties and to create a sense of continuity and design impact.  Grant funds for 100% of the total cost of the improvements (not to exceed $5,000).  They also have a Demolition Grant.
Fellsmere CRACommercial Infrastructure Grant  –   provide funds for sanitary sewer-related improvements, awards shall not exceed $5,000.00 per project. Improvements shall be consistent with the requirements of the City of Fellsmere Utilities Department. Commercial Facade Rehabilitation Grant – funds for the exterior (street side) improvements that are consistent with the redevelopment plan.   Awards shall not exceed $5,000.00 per project.
Flagler Beach CRASmall Grant – awards the Matching Grants to applicants on a first come first served basis, the maximum grant award is $5,000.00. Can be used on exterior renovations, code compliance, demolition business redevelopment, or expansion.   
Large Grant – this grant is to encourage the redevelopment and business expansion within the CRA.  The grant award is $15,000 per applicant. Eligible projects must have a total cost of $100,000 or more to qualify for consideration.  
Fort Meade CRADevelopment Permit Fee – non-matching with a maximum of $5,000. 
Asbestos Mitigation -non-matching with maximum of $5,000. 
Façade Grant – matching grant with maximum amount of $10,000. 
Nuisance Abatement – matching grant with maximum amount of $10,000.
Building Code Compliance Upgrade – matching grant with the maximum amount of $10,000.
Fort Walton Beach CRAFaçade Grant – Total CRA grant funds allowed 100%  of costs up to a maximum of  $5,000.00. 
Groveland CRANew Building/Building Expansion – construction or expansion of a building by a minimum of 25% or 4,000 square feet, is eligible to apply for a waiver of up to 100% of the building permit fee and development application fees. 
Infrastructure – construction of a building or group of buildings for commercial or industrial use that requires off-site infrastructure improvements can seek financial assistance.
Hallandale Beach CRACommercial Facade Improvement Grant Program – Throughout the CRA there are also Priority Areas of focus which have varying levels of funding availability.  All grant recipients are required to provide a minimum match of at least 10% to 30% of the total cost of their project. May provide grants up to $75,000. 
Commercial Business Grant Program – costs directly associated with the opening of a new business or expanding business are eligible for consideration. Retail is eligible. provide a short-term, forgivable loan not to exceed $200,000. The loan will be forgiven by 20% each year the applicant remains in business. 
Commercial Interior Renovation Grant – goal of the program is to eliminate functional obsolescence, remove deterioration, and improve the “energy efficiency” of existing buildings.  Depending upon whether a project is within a Priority Area or not, a CIRG award could provide a grant for up to 90% of the eligible costs not to exceed $50,000. 
Director Cash/Job Creation Program -Through this program, HBCRA may provide direct cash payments of up to $2,000 per new Job created, to a maximum of $200,000, to companies starting, relocating, or expanding within the CRA.
High Springs CRACommercial Façade Improvement Grant – Grant funds can be used for up to 50% of total project costs, not to exceed $5,000.  
Holly Hill CRAGrant Program – to encourage private investment to improve the appearance and functionality of existing buildings in the CRA District Area. The program provides 50% reimbursement of the total eligible project cost up to a maximum of $10,000 to pay for the design and implementation of improvements within the CRA District.
Hollywood CRAHotel Improvement Program – grant program for hotels/motels, inns, or bed and breakfasts located in the Hollywood CRA Districts. It provides a 33% reimbursement grant up to $250,000 or 20% of the assessed value, whichever is lower, for comprehensive fixed capital improvements to both the interior and exterior of the property.  
Property Improvement Program – grant program for buildings located in the Hollywood CRA Districts. It provides a 50% reimbursement grant up to $50,000 for comprehensive fixed capital improvements to the property.  
Paint Only Program – grant program for properties located in the Hollywood CRA Districts. It provides a 50% reimbursement grant up to $10,000 for cleaning, patching, and painting of the building exterior when done by a licensed contractor.   
Mural Only Program– utilizes an application process and offers a 50% reimbursement grant up to a maximum reimbursement amount of $10,000 per property for costs associated with the creation and installation of a painted or mosaic mural, including design, labor, materials, and equipment, on the exterior surface of buildings.  
Homestead CRACommercial Enhancement Grant –  awarding funds for the improvement or rehabilitation of the interior/exterior of existing qualified commercial properties, and to incentivize business relocation and expansion within the City’s CRA District. Grant funds may not be used for new construction.   Properties located outside of the South West Neighborhood and Historic Downtown Districts are eligible for grants ranging from $1.00 to a maximum of $25,000 at a 75% match, with the CRA providing 75% of the funds as a reimbursement and the applicant(s) providing 25% matching funds towards the cost of work.  Properties located within the South West Neighborhood and Historic Districts are eligible for grants ranging from $1.00 to a maximum of $25,000 at a 90% match, with the CRA providing 90% of the funds as a reimbursement and the applicant(s) providing 10% matching funds towards the cost of work.  The maximum amount is $25,000.   
Business Relocation and Expansion Grant Program – a one-time grant for eligible businesses located outside of the CRA District that seek to open, relocate to or expand to an additional location within the CRA District.  In the CRA District, but outside of the South West Neighborhood and Historic District, are eligible for one-time funding at a 75% match, with the CRA providing 75% of the funds as a reimbursement and the applicant(s) providing 25% matching funds towards the cost of work.  In the Southwest Neighborhood and Historic Downtown District are eligible for one-time funding at a 90% match, with the CRA providing 90% of the funds as reimbursement and the applicant(s) providing 10% matching funds towards the cost of work.   
Jacksonville Beach CRACommercial Enhancement Grant –  awarding funds for the improvement or rehabilitation of the interior/exterior of existing qualified commercial properties, and to incentivize business relocation and expansion within the City’s CRA District. Grant funds may not be used for new construction.   Properties located outside of the South West Neighborhood and Historic Downtown Districts are eligible for grants ranging from $1.00 to a maximum of $25,000 at a 75% match, with the CRA providing 75% of the funds as a reimbursement and the applicant(s) providing 25% matching funds towards the cost of work.  Properties located within the South West Neighborhood and Historic Districts are eligible for grants ranging from $1.00 to a maximum of $25,000 at a 90% match, with the CRA providing 90% of the funds as a reimbursement and the applicant(s) providing 10% matching funds towards the cost of work.  Maximum amount is $25,000.   
Business Relocation and Expansion Grant Program – a one-time grant for eligible businesses located outside of the CRA District that seek to open, relocate to or expand to an additional location within the CRA District.  In the CRA District, but outside of the South West Neighborhood and Historic District, are eligible for one-time funding at a 75% match, with the CRA providing 75% of the funds as a reimbursement and the applicant(s) providing 25% matching funds towards the cost of work.  In the Southwest Neighborhood and Historic Downtown District are eligible for one-time funding at a 90% match, with the CRA providing 90% of the funds as reimbursement and the applicant(s) providing 10% matching funds towards the cost of work.   
Keystone Heights CRAFaçade Beautification Grant Program – an initiative that aims to financially assist businesses in their efforts to maintain and beautify the exterior of their businesses. Up to $100,000.00 funding is to be given, in a 2:1 ratio. (For every $1 of private investment, eligible for $2 of public investment)
Lake Alfred CRAFacade Improvement Grant Program
–  The program is a grant award on a reimbursement basis. Grant funds can reimburse for up to 50% of eligible project costs, with the grant award not to exceed $50,000 (i.e. on a $100k of eligible expenses).
Lake Wales CRADeveloper Incentive Program – assistance to build affordable homes in the Core Improvement area. The actual assistance to be offered is subject to negotiation and may be made available at the beginning of a project (such as the payment of impact fees,) made incrementally during construction, or at the close of a project.
Lakeland CRAFaçade Grant – rehabilitation, renovation, preservation, or improvement of commercial storefronts and allows for improvement to parking areas.  50% of total project funds up to a maximum of $5,000.
Largo CRASign Replacement Grant
– grants to encourage the removal of nonconforming signs within the West Bay Drive Community Redevelopment District, and for construction of conforming signs under Largo’s Comprehensive Development Code. The grants are offered in amounts up to $1,000 per property on a first-come, first-served basis to pay City fees and pole sign replacement.
Lauderdale Lakes CRACommercial Facade Improvement Program
– Support funding is made available on a competitive basis to approved property owners by reimbursing up to 50% (or 100% upon meeting specified criteria) of the eligible project costs in relation to the budget allocation. 
Development Assistance Program
– applies to the construction of residential, commercial, or mixed-use development primarily along Oakland Park Boulevard and State Road 7 Corridor.  Support funding is made available on a competitive basis to approved property owners by reimbursing up to seventy-five (75%) of the eligible project costs in relation to the budget allocation and zone.   
Lauderhill CRAProperty Improvement Program Grant
– provides a 50% reimbursement grant of up to $750,000 for commercial properties and up to $10,000 for individually owned single-family, condominium, and multi-family homesteaded properties. $1,500,000 for eligible Commercial Properties within the MCRA boundaries.  
New Business Incentive Grant
– designed to help facilitate the establishment of new businesses within the Margate Community Redevelopment Agency. The program provides financial assistance in the form of a grant to new businesses to reduce costs associated with the construction of a new building(s) that will house the new business. The incentive consists of a 5% reimbursement of eligible construction costs up to a maximum of $500,000, subject to the requirements of the program.
Lynn Haven CRACommercial Façade Grant Program
–  “Rehabilitation of privately owned and commercial or industrial buildings is limited to improvements to the exterior of the building and correction of code violations” 
Margate CRAStorefront Assistance Program
–  help property owners enhance the street-visible appearance of their commercial property.  Offering 50/50 matching grants to commercial property owners.  over 60 feet of frontage – a maximum of $ 2,500 for architectural services and a maximum of $25,000 for construction.  60 feet of frontage or less maximum of 1,500 for architectural services and a maximum of $10,000 for construction. 
Marianna CRAHigh-Value Job Creation Program
– the program will provide a cash award for the creation of target industry jobs paying a minimum of 115% of the County’s average annual wage.  
Commercial

Visual Improvement Program
– Provides financial assistance for significant exterior improvements. (For example, painting alone would not be sufficient.) Interior improvements are not eligible. Rebates 50 percent — up to a maximum of $10,000 — of a project’s renovation/ upgrade hard construction costs.
Martin County CRAProperty Improvement Program
– designed to encourage visible, exterior improvements to any existing commercial property or buildings. CRA will provide 80% of the project cost, as a reimbursement, up to a maximum of $20,000 per property to supplement private funds to pay for the design and construction of property improvements.  
Fence/Landscape Program
– designed to encourage visible, exterior improvements of fencing and landscaping to any existing commercial property or building to comply with the Land Development Regulations. CRA will provide 80% of the project cost, as a reimbursement, up to a maximum of $10,000 per property to supplement private funds to pay for the design and construction of fence and/or landscape enhancement.   
Melbourne Downtown CRAEligible commercial properties in the Melbourne Downtown CRA may qualify for a matching façade improvement grant of up to $20,000.   Public-Private Development Program – This program will enable the CRA to enter into public-private partnerships for the facilitation of desired real estate development projects that will have a minimum of $5 million in capital investment.
Mount Dora CRA Improvement Grant Program
– maximum grant amount shall not exceed $7,500, or fifty percent (50%) of the improvement costs, whichever is less, with a fifty percent (50%) match required from each applicant. This grant covers exterior improvements only such as awnings, windows, doors, and brick-and-mortar projects. The demolition grant shall not exceed $3,250, or fifty percent (50%) of the demolition costs, whichever is less, with a fifty percent match required from each applicant
Mount Plymouth-Sorrento CRAFaçade Improvement Program
–  Projects selected to receive funding will be reimbursed for 50 percent of the cost up to $2,500 maximum for a project totaling $5,000 or more. 
New Port Richey CRACommercial Property Façade and Exterior Improvements Grant
–  improving the exterior of commercial buildings including parking lots and landscaping to increase occupancy, improve appearance, and meet commercial codes.  projects may receive grant reimbursement of up to 50% of the cost of materials and professional contracted labor for pre-approved and completed exterior renovations. Each storefront/business address is eligible for a maximum of $5,000 with an overall maximum of $10,000 per property that contains multiple storefronts or units. 
Business Facade and Exterior Improvement Grant
– program is intended to assist  targeted retail, food & beverage, and other service businesses with costs related to signage, awnings and exterior improvements to buildings. Existing targeted businesses may receive awards of up to 50% of the total project cost with no single grant exceeding $2,500.  New, expanded or relocated targeted businesses may receive awards of up to 75% of the total project cost with no single grant exceeding $6,000. 
Leasehold Improvement Grant
–  the business should meet the criteria for targeted businesses within the redevelopment area where the property is located as part of the strategy recommended by the Redevelopment Advisory Board.  Restrict funding to visible interior public access spaces within commercial/business buildings such as public reception areas or customer service areas.   Existing targeted businesses may receive awards of up to 50% of the total project cost with no single grant exceeding $2,500. New, expanded, or relocated targeted businesses (see section VII.) may receive awards of up to 75% of the total project cost with no single grant exceeding $6,000.
North Miami Beach CRAFaçade & Business Site Improvement Program
– encourages property and business owners to enhance their existing business sites through exterior improvements. This includes most exterior elements from windows, doors, paint, design elements, etc. The CRA provides 80% of project costs up to a maximum contribution of $20,000 per existing property address with a maximum of 3 addresses. 
Strategic Investment Program
– reduce or eliminate financial gaps in development projects; support the development of new economic generator activities in mixed-use environments/facilities; generate leasing activity for retail and restaurant uses in mixed-use buildings that contain residential uses as well; encourage quality design; and secure key anchor tenants to enhance the marketability of adjacent properties. The maximum amount allotted under this program is up to 50% of project costs up to $250,000 for expenses such as impact/building permit fees; site improvements such as sidewalks, landscaping, signage; building improvements such as facades, awnings, and roofs; and tenant improvements. 
Capital Improvement Grant
– This “interest only” program works in conjunction with the lenders and provides 50% of the interest on a loan amortized over a five-year period. The maximum loan amount the incentive will apply against is $350,000. The interest payment amount is intended to reduce the upfront costs of renovation to buildings. 
Merchant Assistance Grant  –  assistance for
retail businesses increase sales and long-term stability by means of financial assistance, training, and merchandising techniques. Eligible applicants may invest in rent, payroll, painting of the interior for a visual impact, purchase of capital equipment or inventory, and more. Approved applicants may receive reimbursement for 50% of their eligible project costs, up to a maximum award of $25,000.
Real Estate Development Accelerator
– the program is for all major projects that are (usually) ground-up development projects with a financial gap. The minimum amount of investment must be $5 million in construction. The funds for the REDA Program come from new taxes that are generated by the new projects. 
North Miami CRABusiness Attraction & Expansion Grant
  – covers 50% of the project cost up to $150,000, toward specifically defined, and approved costs that are related to relocation and attraction of businesses.  Beautification and Enhancement Grant – 
Ocala CRABusiness Property Improvement Grant

Orlando CRADTO Façade Program
– encourage building owners, businesses, and owners of certain residential properties to invest in properties by financially assisting with renovations to rehabilitate their buildings and residences. $100,000 or 50% of the total façade improvements.
Retail Stimulus Program – Applicants are eligible to receive up to $75,000 or 50% of the total cost of Tenant Improvements, whichever is less. Applicants are also able to receive a one-time award of up to $25,000 to cover rent expenses. Rent abatement payments will be made quarterly, i.e. a business would receive up to $6,250 a quarter for a total of $25,000. The maximum total funding amount under the Program per eligible business is $100,000. 
Sidewalk Café Incentive – offers financial assistance to qualified property owners or tenants seeking to make outdoor sidewalk café improvements. CRA will assist up to $5,000 or 50% of the total cost of eligible products, whichever is less.
Palatka CRABuilding Improvement Cost Share Grant
– Awarded projects will be reimbursed up to fifty percent (50%) of the total project cost to a maximum of twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) upon one hundred percent (100%) completion of the project scope.  
Palmetto CRACommercial Façade Improvement Program
–  provide assistance to owners of commercial property located in the CRA district to fund a portion of the cost for non-structural aesthetic improvements to a building’s exterior that are readily seen from public streets, sidewalks, and/or parking lots. Funding is limited to $75,000.00 for any applicant/business/individual, per building during any 60-month period, and subject to available CRA funds.

– the objective of this matching grant program is to encourage redevelopment and revitalization of commercial buildings/sites by offering financial assistance, up to 50% total cost of eligible expenses, or up to $50,000 (whichever is less). 
Pensacola CRACommercial Property Improvement Program
 – designed to support the preservation and enhancement of commercial, non-residential buildings and historic cemeteries. Funding limits are calculated based on the property’s size, age, and cultural/historical significance. Funding awards for this program shall not exceed $150,000 for commercial and non-residential projects.  
Pinellas County / Lealman CRACommercial Improvement Grant
– provide matching grants that will accelerate and leverage private investment to improve the appearance, condition, and functionality of existing non-residential sites and buildings. Maximum grant award combined between the two programs cannot exceed $40,000, and the maximum Commercial Building Interior Improvement Program matching grant cannot exceed $20,000.  
Pinellas Park CRACRA Façade Improvement Grant
– apply for improvements such as exterior lighting, landscaping, benches, bicycle racks, and public art, as well as entrances, windows, and ADA compliance. Businesses with a single street frontage may qualify for up to $20,000 and businesses with a second street frontage may get an additional $5,000.  
CRA Demolition Assistance
– eligible applicants on a first come, first served basis with the intent to reduce or eliminate the costs associated with the removal of substandard structures when the cost to rehabilitate is not feasible. Properties must be located within the boundaries of the Pinellas Park Community Redevelopment Agency to be eligible for grant funds. Grant awards amount up to $10,000.
Pompano Beach CRACommercial Improvement Grant
– provide matching grants that will accelerate and leverage private investment to improve the appearance, condition, and functionality of existing non-residential sites and buildings. The maximum grant award combined between the two programs cannot exceed $40,000, and the maximum Commercial Building Interior Improvement Program matching grant cannot exceed $20,000.  
Port St. Joe CRAFaçade Grant – matching reimbursement grants for “brick and mortar” improvement to the visual appearance and pedestrian-appropriate qualities of the facades and streetscapes.
Riviera Beach CRAProperty Improvement Grant – designated for commercial properties, up to $40,000 per grant based on $1 private for every $4 in public funds match.  Outside improvements, parking lots, and ADA improvements.  
Property Beautification Grant – designated for commercial properties, up to $4,000 per grant.  Labor and materials may be contributed by the CRA in lieu of all or a portion of the grant award. Exterior renovations, restoration, and rehabilitation as well as landscape improvements. 
Rockledge CRAFacade Improvement Grant Program
 provides an opportunity for property owners and merchants to improve the exteriors of their structures or properties with grant funding in an amount of up to $10,000.00. Any property owner, located within the boundaries of the Rockledge Community Redevelopment District can apply for a grant.  Tax abatement, Parking Reductions, stormwater management adjustments, and setback waivers are also available.
Safety Harbor CRADowntown Partnership matching grant reimbursement program
–  Grant categories include facade, front porch, fencing, signage, public art, landscaping, dumpster enclosure, interior renovation, new non-residential building, market/hardware store use, and artistic bicycle rack. Both residential and non-residential properties within the Community Redevelopment District are eligible for several grant types.
Sanford CRAFaçade Grant –  provides for a reimbursement grant for eligible exterior improvements, not to exceed $10,000.00, with the applicant providing a matching amount of 50%. Qualified projects will engage more than one trade to perform the work involved. Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing/Fire, and Code Violation corrections are EXCLUDED from eligible expenditures. This is a REIMBURSEMENT ONLY program.   
Commercial Redevelopment Grant Program
– Eligible projects are those that exceed $20,000, excluding furniture, fixtures, and/or equipment.   up to 20% of eligible costs, not to exceed $100,000, if approved by the Board. Funds are appropriated annually and available on a first-come first-served basis. 
New Construction Grant –  New construction may include the demolition of existing structures and the removal of contaminated soils. However, new construction does not include rehabilitation of existing structures, furniture, fixtures, or equipment.  The program provides reimbursement ONLY funding up to 20% of eligible costs, not to exceed $100,000.
Sebring CRADowntown Revitalization Grant
  –  assists eligible COMMERCIAL property owners with INTERIOR building improvements to eliminate blighted conditions. Funds will be available for up to $10,000 per project, and reviewed on a first come, first served basis by the CRA board. This program is a match assistance program requiring a minimum 50% match from the property owner.  
Façade Improvement Grant
–  assists eligible COMMERCIAL or RESIDENTIAL property owners with EXTERIOR building improvements to eliminate blighted conditions. Funds will be available for up to $10,000 per project, and reviewed on a first come, first served basis by the CRA board. This program is a match assistance program requiring a minimum 50% match from the property owner. 
St. Cloud CRANorthwest/East  Façade & Business Site Improvement
– Eligible improvements include aesthetic improvements to the building structure, such as exterior painting, installation of awnings, new windows and/or doors, and signage.  Adjoining parking lots, sidewalks and landscaping are ineligible as stand-alone projects. Approved applicants may receive reimbursement for 80 % of their eligible project costs, up to a maximum award of $25,000 per address. 
Capital Improvement Grant
–  businesses and property owners whose ground floor space is retail or office to borrow for purposes related to the exterior and interior property improvement. The grant amount shall not exceed a maximum loan amount of $350,000.  Real Estate Development Accelerator – instituted to expedite development in the Northwest CRA Area. The performance-based tax incentive is a phased-in program that provides larger incentives to developers during the initial development stage.  
Relocation/Development Incentive
– designed to support difficult redevelopment projects that cannot be accommodated under other CRA programs. Since not all redevelopment obstacles can be anticipated, this program allows the CRA Board the flexibility to choose from a variety of options to facilitate projects that would not happen without assistance at some level.  Northwest / East
Strategic Investment Program

–  For Projects up to $5,000,000. Commercial businesses within the Pompano Beach Community Redevelopment Agency Phase I target area of Downtown Pompano are eligible to participate in this program. The maximum amount allotted under this program is $150,000.

– All development projects that are less than $5,000,000 in total estimated costs are eligible to solicit streetscape-matching funds up to a maximum contribution of $35,000 per folio number.  
St. Petersburg CRASouth St. Petersburg CRA Micro fund Program
 – a funding opportunity for South St. Pete CRA business owners. No upfront capital is required. Instead, this program offers personalized capacity-building opportunities through education, mentoring, and networking in exchange for CRA funding so business owners can make targeted and planful improvements to their businesses.
Stuart CRANorth Magnolia Commercial Property Improvement Grant– the maximum amount is $10,000 and it is a match program. This is for outside work and or elements of the building itself (windows).

Commercial Building Improvement Grant- the maximum amount of $25,000 and it is a match program.  Can be used for Facades and Interior renovations.  
East Ocala
Commercial Building Improvement Grant
– maximum grant $10,000 and  it is a match program.  Strictly outdoor work but can be signage. 
West Ocala Commercial Building Improvement
Grant – maximum grant is $15,000 and it is a 75% City to 25% applicant match program.  Outdoor work but can be demolition and parking lot.
Tallahassee CRABusiness Facility Improvement Program
– help small businesses improve the exterior of existing commercial buildings and properties. Eligible applicants can receive up to $50,000 for improvements to the façade of commercial structures and properties located within the boundaries of the Greater Frenchtown Southside (GFS) Community Redevelopment Area.
Tampa CRABusiness Improvement Grant
– assist commercial property owners with exterior façade improvements in the Stuart CRA. Provides a reimbursement of 50% of the total project costs up to $10,000.  
 Mural Matching Grant
-provides financial assistance to create murals on an exterior wall that is visible from the public right-of-way or parking lot. The program provides a reimbursement of 50% of the mural artwork up to $3,000.
 Real Estate Development Accelerator Program
–  property owners and developers who make substantial capital investments/total project cost of one million dollars ($1,000,000) or more to an existing property or the development of a new construction project located in the Stuart CRA area. Provides for reimbursement of up to 50% of the future tax increment revenue for a maximum of five (5) years.
Tarpon Springs CRAFacade Improvement Grant Program
– Must be a retail and/or targeted commercial property, located in a participating CRA (Drew Park, East Tampa Ybor City 1 and 2 and/or West Tampa) and may be further restricted to target areas within each CRA. The funding limit is 50% of the project costs, up to $50,000.  
West Tampa CRA – Business Enhancement Microgrant Program, Restaurant & Food Services Grant, vanilla shell grant – The West Tampa CRA Vanilla Shell Grant Program is designed to reduce vacancy in existing commercial or mixed-use properties, located in the West Tampa Community Redevelopment Area, by assisting property owners, through matching funds up to $25,000 per unit renovated, for up to two units, to renovate the interior of vacant spaces for immediate occupancy.
Titusville CRABuilding & Site Improvement Grant
– Eligible projects must be for Façade Improvements to a building or properties that are of a permanent nature or could be described as “beautification” projects, that are visible (street facing) portions of structure or site. The program can only refund up to 50% of the cost incurred per eligible project, upon proof of full payment.
Umatilla CRACommercial Façade Program
-$2,000 Possible Unmatched Funds, Dollar for dollar match up to an additional $8,000 grant funds ($10.000 total grant). For exterior improvements. 
Vine Street CRACommunity Property Improvement Program
– to encourage rehabilitation and preservation of commercial buildings by offering financial assistance of up to $25,000 in reimbursable funds as a 50/50 match.
Wauchula CRABeautification Grant
– Grant funds for general improvements to the exterior of those structures serving a commercial purpose located within the boundaries of the grant funds for general improvements to the exterior of those structures serving a commercial purpose located within the boundaries of City’s Downtown Titusville Community Redevelopment Area.  Eligible applicants can receive grant funding up to $40,000, funds will be distributed only upon completion of improvements. Reimbursement is 75% of the grant award at completion of the improvements, and 25% of the grant award at the first year of occupancy from the completion of the improvements.   
Commercial Interior Building Renovation Grant
  – an incentive for the build-out of a commercial and mixed-use space that is vacant; assist existing businesses to renovate and relocate to commercial space within the CRA; and upgrade the existing historic building stock within the CRA district.  applicants may receive grant funding up to $50,000. Up to an additional $50,000 of grant funding may be received for mixed-use projects including non-residential uses and residential living units. 
 Permit & Impact Fee Incentive Grant
– provide an incentive to expand an existing building and/or to put vacant land in the CRA. Financial assistance in the form of a reimbursable, matching (50%) grant to the property owner/developer for eligible expenses associated with the construction of new commercial, mixed-use, and multifamily residential principle structures; the expansion of existing commercial, mixed-use, and multifamily principle structures; and the redevelopment and change of use of a building that requires an impact fee in the CRA district. The maximum grant for any one property is $50,000.
West Palm Beach CRACommercial Revitalization Grant
– to restore and improve commercial buildings within the Wauchula CRA. Can be interior, exterior, and if you use local contractors and subs then you are eligible for a higher percentage of grant funds.
Williston CRAFaçade Grants
– within the CRA District, you are eligible for a grant that can help you improve the appearance of your building. The $5,000 grant will match up to 50% of the total cost of certain improvements.
Winter Garden CRAFaçade and Exterior Improvement Program
– provides 80% of a façade project for a grant up to $7,500; or in the Historic Northwest, provides 80% of project costs for a grant up to $75,000.  
Relocation and Development

Assistance Incentive
–  assist with relocation and development of certain uses to allow for a more desirable or upgraded use. This program provides the incentives necessary for redevelopment, including tenant relocation, acquisition, build-out and rehabilitation or renovation of existing properties.  
Real Estate Development Accelerator Program
–  designed to offer incentives to projects over $5 million in the form of landmark down, infrastructure improvements, Tax Increment Financing, or any other type of incentive for the development of large-scale projects.  
Strategic Investment Streetscape Program
– commercial or mixed-use projects up to $5 million, developers may be eligible for up to 50% of the cost of streetscape improvements.  Strategic Investment Program

Winter Haven CRAReal Estate Development Accelerator
– for large-scale development projects with an increase in the ad valorem Taxable Value of the subject site by $5 million or more.  Tax Increment Financing rebates, and water/sewer fees are examples.  Paid as reimbursement to the developer upon proof of payment of annual property taxes. Incentive reimbursement to the developer will not exceed 60% of the actual tax increment from the project.  
Real Estate Development Accelerator II
– for projects with an increase in the ad valorem Taxable Value of a subject property by $15 million. Same as above, with Incentive reimbursement to developer will not exceed 90% of actual tax increment from project. Facade and Exterior Improvements Program – reimbursement program that will provide up to 50% of a facade but no more than $15,000.
 Local Infrastructure Gap
– will reimburse developers of new or more than 50% rehabilitated buildings city development code requirements for off-site sidewalk connections in order to achieve a residential density bonus.  
Commercial Redevelopment
– a project that increases the ad valorem Taxable Value by at least 100% and retention of historic/authentic character evidenced may be eligible for development assistance up to 50% of the actual tax increment created from the project.
Zephyrhills CRAMatching Facade Rehabilitation Grant
– encourage rehabilitation and preservation of commercial buildings by offering a financial incentive of up to $2,500 in matching funds and limited technical assistance for facade rehabilitation.  It is hoped that in addition to improving the building facades, the program will provide an incentive for the complete rehabilitation of the structures.
Hamilton County Development Authority*Strategic Initiatives section:  Commercial Beautification Grants
– Micropgrant program aimed at improving visual appearance of businesses in Hamilton County. Provides matching funds to renovate and improve properties in the county. Eligible businesses can receive up to $2,500 with this pilot program.   They have other programs that are in the form of gap financing and/or equity to assist start-ups or existing businesses with a history to secure their traditional financing.  They also have funded infrastructure in the County for water/sewer and then transfer those assets to the County.
