Seminole, FL - A Great Place To Live
Located in west-central Pinellas County, Seminole is predominately a residential community with robust commercial development. The area is known for its strong demographics, good schools and a family-oriented citizenship. Seminole’s proximity to the beaches and major travel routes makes the area attractive for business and residences. The City has strong commerce in health care and social services, with more than 550 companies clustered around the senior care industry. Major employers include Superior Uniform Group, Freedom Square, Inn at Freedom Square, Lake Seminole Square, and St. Petersburg College’s 3,600-student Seminole campus.

The Bay Pines V.A. has a 330-acre campus directly adjacent to the city with 397 beds serving nearly 100,000 patients annually. Under construction is a $194 million mental health center, outpatient clinic and hospital bed expansion project
Opportunities
The 60-acre Bay Pines redevelopment site offers hotel, retail, and office space development. Already built are The Courtney at Bay Pines, a 330-unit apartment complex, a high-end single family development, The Cove at Bay Pines, a Super Walmart and restaurants. The Bay Pines V.A. expects an increase in veterans being served creating additional need for private support facilities like hotels.
The 39-acre Seminole City Center will replace the former mall with an extensive redevelopment plan to include retail, restaurants, a movie complex and an office building. And, major thoroughfares like Park and Seminole Boulevards offer prime retail, office and mixed-use sites.
