Local Business Services Pinellas County Economic Development leaders and staff came up with an innovative idea to assist businesses, the Business Assistance Partnership, a program aimed at business assistance, retention, and workforce development. The Business Assistance Partnership Program is a tri-partnership between a city, its chamber and the county. The partnership was established in 1998 and presently serves nine of the 14 local chambers of commerce and their respective municipalities and one public library. Assistance is provided by Business Assistance Partnership Specialists (BAPS), who are located at their respective chambers.
