Reminder to Register for the Pinellas County Job Corps

Pinellas County Job Corps "Meet-the-Locals" Business Mixer
is an Opportunity for Pinellas' Businesses to
meet Prospective Operators
 
Pinellas County and the City of St. Petersburg, in partnership with Pinellas Technical Education Centers (PTEC) have scheduled a "Meet-the-Locals" Business Mixer to encourage local companies to connect with potential Job Corps operators to discuss vendor and procurement opportunities.  

 

The mixer will be held on Thursday, August 28, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the PTEC, St. Petersburg Campus, located at 901 - 34th Street South in St. Petersburg.  Businesses may register for this event at http://www.siliconbay.org/calendar/register.asp?id=2030 
 

Earlier this month, the U.S. Department of Labor issued a Request for Proposal (RFP)  to operate the new Pinellas County Job Corps Campus located in the Midtown community of St. Petersburg. These RFP respondents will want to connect to the local community to find suppliers and vendors.  The mixer will provide an excellent opportunity for local companies to meet potential operators. Pinellas County companies are urged to bring promotional materials and their sales pitches to the August 28th mixer.
