Businesses Urged to Prepare for 2007 Hurricane Season
Pinellas County Economic Development (PCED) encourages all local businesses to review their disaster and business continuity plans for the upcoming 2007 Atlantic Hurricane Season. PCED has gathered planning tools and links to hurricane information at PCED.org/hurricane. Additionally, business customers may contact the Pinellas County Business Development Center at (727) 453-7200 for assistance from a professional business counselor.
PCED is also hosting a Hurricane Preparedness Seminar for businesses on June 29 at the EpiCenter. Sponsored by Stevens & Stevens Business Records Management, this free seminar is designed to assist businesses with planning and preparing for the continuation of operations in the event of a disaster. Participants will receive an emergency resource kit and the fundamental tools to develop a disaster preparedness and recovery plan, including disaster contact information. A complimentary lunch will be served. The seminar will be held from 11:30am – 2:00pm at the EpiCenter, 13805 58th St. North, Clearwater, 33760.
