Record Number of Visitors Flock to Pinellas County.  According to the St. Petersburg-Clearwater Convention & Visitors Bureau, Pinellas County had approximately 544,685 visitors in March, an increase of 9.2% from the previous year. Become Partners at the Polls. The Pinellas County Supervisor of Elections office is recruiting 5,000 poll workers for the 2004 presidential elections. County businesses that “loan” their employees for the program will receive several forms of public recognition, including a mention in St. Petersburg Times advertisements and various newsletters. Poll workers are paid for their time – including their training sessions – and receive a commemorative pin for their efforts.
