Very early partial returns show that over the next three years more than half our manufacturers are planning to upgrade their technology; two-thirds are planning to expand their products and services; and half the companies currently use the internet to sell their products and services.
One of every four Pinellas County businesses is owned by a woman. According to two surveys, the 1997 U.S. Economic Census and the 2002 Pinellas Business Assistance Monitor, the figure remains the same, 28% of all county businesses have a female owner. Twelve of the top 25 Tampa Bay web firms are in Pinellas, according to a ranking of firms in our seven county region published April 4 by the Business Journal Serving Greater Tampa Bay.
