| Pinellas County and the City of St. Petersburg, in partnership with Pinellas Technical Education Centers (PTEC) have scheduled a “Meet-the-Locals” Business Mixer to encourage local companies to connect with potential Job Corps operators to discuss vendor and procurement opportunities. The mixer will be held on Thursday, August 28, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the PTEC, St. Petersburg Campus, located at 901 34th Street South in St. Petersburg. Earlier this month, the U.S. Department of Labor issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to operate the new Pinellas County Job Corps Campus located in the Midtown community of St. Petersburg. These RFP respondents will need to connect to the local community to find suppliers and vendors. The mixer will provide an excellent opportunity for potential operators to meet local companies. Pinellas County companies are urged to bring promotional materials and their sales pitches to the August 28th mixer. | |||
